what day is it?

What did I say in my last post? I wanted to put up pictures every Friday? Ha... haha.... ha. Riiight. What I meant to say is IF I have a spare moment and IF I happen to have taken any pictures in the past week and IF I have any brain power left for thinking, I might post some pictures of happy observations during the week. Obviously those things have not coincided for awhile.

So, anyway... here I am, on a Sunday, posting some pictures of things I have observed that have made me happy.

When it rains....

Sometimes I take a shower midday when the sun shines in the skylight and I feel like I'm in an outdoor shower!

Darned socks... that my great grandmother darned... who even knows how to darn anymore?!

Meanwhile, getting to my blogging.... absence. Sigh. Well, of course a lot of it has to do with having a little baby. And a little baby who doesn't like to sleep for long or at regularly scheduled times. Yes, that has a lot to do with it. But I guess it also has to do with the fact that I'm kind of bored with what I have to write about. Not that I'm not doing a lot and not that it doesn't have it's writable moments.... It's just... it's not my usual stuff, I guess. There might be posts that are "ranty" or crazy sounding or whatever. Because being a mom is a lot of hard work. Period. And, let's face it, I'm usually just exhausted and have no desire to turn on a computer at the end of a day. Usually by 8pm, I'm ready to brush my teeth, read for ten minutes and go to sleep, hoping that my baby won't wake up in the next half hour.

So. What I'm saying is... I'm still here. I just don't know what this blog is about right now or where it's going. There are so many fantastic blogs out there; inspiring ones, total food porn ones, hilarious ones, gorgeous pictures ones. Mine is here for me, when I can get to it. And I'm glad whenever anyone else decides to come on the journey with me.

  1. keep it going. Far, close, it will find you, you will find it. It will change, it will be satisfying and gratifying and sometimes not as much, but in the end, it's you and all your picture in this post are saying way more than all the words you could write half asleep. I love your pictures and the bros together. How Jacob look at his brother, all the love in these pictures from you and from them. That's beautiful. That's what this blog is about.
