blogging and gratitude

I've been a little M.I.A. these days, I know. I'm trying to keep my sanity in check while getting ready to move, as well as my stress level. Oh, and I'm trying to still be a good mom while doing so. Hahaha....  I know I haven't been a very present friend to many people these days; I am just trying to keep myself together and honestly, that's taking all the energy I have.

However, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who is sending me such wonderful, heartfelt love and energy and prayers and hope. It means so much to me to know that you all are out there, that you're keeping up on things via the blog (I know it takes time to read these posts and by choosing to read this one, you show me that it's not all completely selfish), that you care to send me messages and let me know that you're out there.

Sometimes, the blog world can feel a little odd, like sending words out into a void. And the only way I really know that others are getting anything out of it, is from your comments. I'm not sure where this blog is headed or what it is except my musings and pictures and stuff. It's good for me, but is it good for my audience?

There are times when I think I'd like it to stand alone more and to not always post it to facebook. This blog can be accessed just like any website by going to www.closertocore.blogspot.com . Bookmark it and check it out regularly even if you're not often on facebook (as is the case for me, actually). But this is a scary idea, too, because how do I know I'll reach as many people?

It has also occurred to me that I started my first blog as a way to keep my friends back in Boulder updated on my life. This blog has become something a bit different, but as we move back to Boulder, is my readership going to change? Lose some people and gain others? Who knows.

In the end, after all that rambling, I just want you to know that I appreciate hearing from each and every one of you. So, thank you for taking the time. Thank you for caring. And thank you for letting me know.
