Sun, shine

One has to look for the silver lining sometimes, and the best thing about living in such a rainy place is that I appreciate the sun SO much! A 70% chance of rain this morning has meant sunshine and a couple teeny showers. The poor weathermen here. It's such a beautiful thing to feel the rays coming through the car window, lighting up the house, bringing some John Denver lyrics to mind: Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy...

At the store today, Jacob wanted to get some of these daffodils for me. Thanks to his father, he has learned about giving flowers to his mama. They're such a lovely, bright yellow, bringing sunshine inside on even the darker days.
